What sport gives you the best body?

Hi all,

I reckon this is a frivolous thread and most likely already discussed in the past, BUT let's indulge Smile

What type of exercise shapes the female body in the most attractive way in your opinion?

Looking at some female athletes, I love the look of yoga/pilates teachers and ballerinas, with long and lean muscles and graceful bodies.

What do you think?

Thank you for your comments!

It's not doubles tennis. Blush

I reckon kettle bells. Or spinning with a weight session after!

Ballerinas = no tits.
I mean, I don't care. But most men I know would think that was not ideal.

I think I find the tennis players most magnificent! (off to google doubles...)
Hey, this thread will probably go tits up, too, HarHar.

Things like artistic gymnastics, anything mainly strength related etc, won't give an 'attractive' physique. Usually a stocky and muscly one.

For lean muscles, I believe you can't over do if either as it'll bulk you up.

Ballerinas are lean and The Royal Ballet are careful not to do too much strength work too soon because this generates 'unsightly muscles'

I think the swimmers physique is really aspirational tbh. Still lean but with good strong muscle definition. Personally I don't think the willowey appearance looks very healthy even though ballerinas are very fit and strong.

do you mean what sport leads to a physique which is considered conventionally attractive/feminine?
or which leads to a physique which I personally aspire to?

If the latter then I guess gymnastics, wrestling, bodybuilding

if the former dont know dont care:o

I think open water swimmers, especially the 'all year round, no wetsuit' have fantastic bodies. Because you need body fat to keep warm, and they don't give a stuff about how that makes them look.

And triathletes tend to look pretty good too imo.

Volleyball players? Wink

Swimming, without question. Swimmers have broad shoulders, long limbs, slim hips and perfectly symmetrical musculature.

Male tennis players look great, but many of the women, including Serena, don't look or move like thoroughbred athletes.

When I volunteered at an athletic event the decathletes were to die for. Just looked amazing.

My preference would be divers, rowers and distance runners. It seems I like the lean look

I always think the dancers on Strictly look amazing - toned but not skinny or bulky.

So I'd say Dance.

I would say ballet, but then it gives you deformed feet. So yoga. Funnily enough, walking to my yoga class yesterday there was this young thing in front of me walking along in her yoga pants with her yoga mat and her hair in a ponytail and a proper ‘bubble bum’ or whatever you call it. Firm and round. With tight thighs. She looked like she had the perfect figure.

When I passed her at reception and saw her face I saw that she was at least 60 years old. Probably nearer to 70 (not unusual for my gym).

So yes, yoga 😁 🧘‍♀️

CrossFit I was in amazing shape when I did it but I was injured so often I had to quit.

Weight lifting you can sculpt your body if you’re wanting a shapely bottom then building muscle will perk up a flat bum. Instead of twigs for arms and legs heavy lifting will create better shape and give tone as most call it too. Women will NOT bulk up by lifting heavy weights.

For men, swimming,

For women I'd say weight lifting, not body building, but weights which make you lean, think Chloe Madley.
