I've just started going to the gym to improve my strength (not really to lose weight although a few pounds lighter wouldn't be bad) and cardio fitness. What do others do in regards to time of day, what you eat beforehand and after? I normally go for 30min before lunch and have some protein for lunch like scrambled egg on toast. I'd like to know what others do to see if there's any tips. Do I need a protein shake?!
