Hi all.
First time posting here and not sure exactly what I'm asking for, just general suggestions. I am considerably overweight (5'3 and around 15 and a half stone) and have never been very bothered by my size. However, me and OH are struggling to conceive and I feel my weight is a major factor. Also I recently broke my ankle and was quite horrified to realise I am too unfit to use crutches. 3/4 steps with the crutches leaves me in pain and out of breath. Obviously I need to wait for my ankle to be healed before starting any real work outs but was wanting some helpful suggestions on how to start out? Don't really have the money for the gym so was thinking long walks moving into running? What can I do at home on days when the weather is bad?
Sorry for the long post.

Starting with brisk walks sounds pretty good to me!

Have a look at C25K if you decide you'd like to add some little jogging intervals into your walks.

The FitnessBlender channel on YouTube is very good, so have a rummage through there for things to do at home to work on strength/flexibility (some workouts are only 5 minutes)

Ask around for recommendations for a gentle yoga or Pilates class locally for when you can afford it. Even a short block of lessons can both be motivating and help to get the hang of some movements you can later do at home.

Do get a good sports bra before jogging, though.

Are you rethinking food intake? If you're injured and unable to ralaitically tackle an exercise program*, making some changes to your diet will help drop weight and have you ready to go go go!

*Buy some weights? You can often see dumbells cheap on local selling pages. Start working your chest, shoulders, arms.

Sorry for the late reply. I have a bad history of overeating and have been to my gp who thinks I have a possible food addiction. He has referred me for counselling but has recommended meal replacement shakes once or twice a day for a short while to try and shrink my stomach/reset my brains reaction to food. Tbh just daily housework is doing me in since I've hurt my ankle as it's putting a lot of strain on my good leg/hips/lower back the way I walk in the moon boot but dumbells sounds a good idea as I can do that sitting down.
