Basically I need to go back to the beginning. This time im going to ease in slowly and develop a consistent fustainabld exercise habit. My error previously has been going too far, too fast. So I'm not even runningoing I'm not going 30 day shred. I'm doing short low impact workouts I can find for free on YouTube. One a day. Varying the focus. Join me for motivation and for posting links to ones you like.

Excellent work! I think Fitness Blender is excellent for this, tonnes of free videos that you can filter in every which way.

I'm trying to get back into running, so have restarted some couch to 5k, but roped the kids in to do it with me too Grin. We've managed a week so far (started on week 3), and hoping they'll be up to 5k by half term...I'm hoping I can improve my 5k time (I'm a real plodder), and just get back into the habit of running.

I'm also trying to get to yoga at least twice a week (which I love, so this isn't too hard to achieve).

Finally, I'm trying to remember to get some weights in maybe once a week. I see a PT fortnightly, and if I've not done enough in between, I'm totally beasted by him!

Hi Carrie. Running is great. I always got a huge sense of achievement from runs. Excellent to get kids fit too. I'm planning on trying a yoga with adriene video on YouTube soon.
Yesterday I did a low impact beginners fitness blender one. I thunk i might combine the fitness blender ones with a good workout playlist. They are good just very quiet. The challenge for me is to stick to real basics and beginner stuff until my body sorts itself a bit. I'm going to try to fit in lots of remedial and physio moves to build up hamstrings and fire up glutes.

I'll join you. I started this last night. I did a 12 minute video on YouTube and feel a tiny bit achey this morning. So must have done something good.

I've tried to do too much in the past too. Tried to do an hour a day etc. Which wasn't sustainable and then I gave up altogether

Great motheroreily - nice to have company. I did another fitness blender one yesterday: low impact body toning for beginners. If really looks a bit pathetic but I did feel if so that's my level. Main aim is to stick at it. I ended up doing this one in the afternoon which required more discipline to get started but it actually felt good.

I failed on day 2 Sad

By time I'd got my daughter from
The childminder and got home and had my dinner it was 20:00 then I had to do some more work and at 21:00 I was exhausted

But I guess that's ok in this new regime it's doing what you can.

I'll have a look at that fitness blender one. I'll post a link to the one I did. It looks easy and the moves are simple to follow but it made my
Muscles ache

What a great idea. I kill myself because I think that it won't count if it isn't at least 40 minutes and makes me feel like I want to die. But this just isn't sustainable, plus I am getting too old. I like the idea of short and gentle.

On good weather days (ie dry) I try and have a short bike ride but on wet days I am going to try to do a short youtube vid!

Thanks for the link mother i reckon I can fit that in most days, I have very little stamina so running or long fast paced workouts dont work for me. The pace on that link is just right.

Managed W4R1 yesterday morning then yoga in evening. My legs were shaking so much in yoga from DOMS from my Friday PT sessionShock. Won't be able to fit anything in tonight but maybe some yoga tomorrow night. Or a run....

Not failing mother just postponing success. I'm liking the link with the ministry of sound music. Will help on reluctant days.
My best one do far has been
Which hurt my bum a lot in a good way.
Today I did a popsugar one. Beginners cardio and tone. Actually really good. Bit less spooky then the fitness blender ones. I find it wierd to have this really no music no colour just exercises thing from fitness blender- although I find them decently put together. There's a lot of rubbish on there.

Thanks for the encouragement. I've had another awful day but I will do it tonight.

I really like the instructor on the ministry of sound and the moves are simple.

Ok will check back when I've completed it tonight

It's nice to have more people. Tell us what you've managed. I very much struggle with wanting to do sn insane workout. I even bought insanity!!! Ha ha my mind needs to catch up with my body.
Did you manage to start mother?
I'm debating beginner yoga or the ministry of sound one today. I think I should do something to stretch out really as 4 days in I'm enjoyably sore- yay! But I find all the slow stuff sooo boring. That's really my fitness problem in a nutshell I keep trying to sprint before I csn toddle.

Bit derailed by a cold this week. Awful sore throat. But I've done the pilates one a third time and I'm actually getting better at it

Oh. I, hope the cold improves very quickly Brew

Not a bad week: w5r1 on Monday then yoga, but back really hurt after run so nothing Tuesday. 30 mins of HIIT/circuits at home Wednesday, then PT session Friday. Just taken kids out for W5R1 again (they hadn't run since last Saturday, so didn't think they'd manage more).

Might try another run tomorrow and then a family yoga session tomorrow afternoon which will be lovely.

Family yoga sounds so nice.

I keep going back to the ministry of sound video. I'm thinking of getting the DVD!

Looks like we are developing favourites. I've been enjoying a pop sugar one. I'm still doing really short videos 15-20 mins but I can feel I'm improving which feels great.
Carrie- how long till you've done the whole c25k do you think?
