Davina's 30 day fat burn anyone?

So I've started the Davina's 30 day fat burn DVD this week. I've never done an exercise DVD before. I started running once a week about 6 weeks ago but don't think it's enough and I can't get out anymore. I'm a single mum with a 2 yr old dd and I work part time.

Has anyone done this one? Or would anyone care to join me? I really like the mapped out schedule and specific exercises. It gives me something to stick to. And I know she's not for everyone but I love davina.

So I'm in the first week and I've gotta say I'm feeling good for it. The workouts are hard and really get you sweating. But I like that as it makes me feel like it's working.

I don't weigh myself but am currently a size 16-18 and 5'5.

So come and join me for support and to give each other a kick up the ass if we need it!

Hi.
Can't join you as I am currently doing the Shred but I like Davina workouts too. I don'the know this one. How long do her fat burning workouts last? I'd like to do something different after the Shred.

What does the shred involve?

This one has a 30 day schedule where you do a combination of workouts on different days. For example, day 1: boxfit and HiiT fat burn, day 2: rest, day 3: HiiT fat burn and abs, day 4 rest and so on. There's lots of workouts on there that I haven't got to yet. I did day 3 last night. The abs one is soooo hard! I could hardly do any of the moves! Hoping it gets easier the more I do it!

Oh forgot to say, each individual workout is about 10 mins I think.

So that's 20 mins workout (on the exercise days) + warm up and cool down?
Shred is 3 x 6 minute circuits. Each circuit has 3 minutes strength, 2 minutes cardio and 1 minute abs. So it lasts about 28 minutes with warm up and cool down. There are three levels and you are supposed to do 10 days of each level. You plan your rest days when it suits you.

Yes that's right. I think the warm up and stretch are about 5 mins each. The warmups pretty mad. I'm always sweating and breathing heavy when I've done it! Lol. On day 5 tonight. Got boxfit and ultimate fat burn. Not done the ultimate fat burn yet.

Shred sounds a bit more fast and furious. Is it a DVD? I only have a tiny living room so can't do anything that needs a lot of room

The Davina thing sounds like something I would be interested in later. I can fit in 30 minutes but not longer first thing. I have the 30 day Shred DVD but I believe it is online if you don't have a DVD player. Because you repeat the same workout 10 times you find your body getting used to it ( very motivating as you can feel yourself getting fitter). The workouts get progressively harder. Good luck with sticking to your plan.I do it in the living room and have a space about 3m wide and 2m between me and the TV. There is only one cardio move that requires all of that space so you could probably substitute with something else if necessary.

That sounds good then. I have a DVD player. I don't have a fancy smart tv so dvds are better for me. I'll keep my eye out. I've been doing mine in the evening after dd is asleep. Doesn't sound like u need a lot of space so that's good too. I'll let u know how I get on this evening.

Hi, I've started the 30 Day Fat Burn. I'm on day 4. I messed up the first day and let the DVD run on so did Box Fit then Ultimate Fat Burn instead of Box Fit and HIIT Fat Burner. I thought I was going to die, the Ultimate Fat Burn is really tough for me!

I'm going to adapt it slightly, I may switch my rest days as I work some late shifts and don't want to come in and start exercising at 10.

I'm also going to skip abs and just do the strength and tone whenever the planner says abs as I have a lot of belly fat so want to get as much off as I can before I start doing ab exercises.

Hi dark. You're on about the same mark as me then. Haven't got to the ultimate fat burn yet but the HiiT one gets me sweating lol. Tried the abs one the other night. Jesus! I could barely do what Davina was doing! I'm the same with belly fat so might join u in doing the strength and tone instead. Was supposed to do some this weekend but it's been so feckin hot I can't will myself to do it!
