Hi all,

Does anyone do High-intensity interval training (HIIT) ? Does it work?
I would like to try this on my treadmill but don't really know where to start?
Any personal experience/suggestions would be really appreciated X

I've started doing HIIT along with other things too (weights, etc).
As far as how much it works - it depends what you want to get out of it. I think it's proven to improve fitness. Whether it helps you lose weight (if that's what you're after) will depends on lots of other factors too (diet being the main one). But, it is a really efficient way to get a workout in.

I don't do it on a treadmill, but the basic theory is the same however you're doing it - short bursts of activity followed by short periods of recovery. You can find loads of suggestions specific to treadmill running online. For example here

I've been doing HIIT sessions since the start of the year, trying to do 3 to 4 a week.

I have been doing the body coach HIITs from YouTube. Some with weights but mostly without. I like it as you can do it at home so no need for a gym membership.

I do feel stronger and have lost weight (I have cut out snacking I'm the evening too but have always ate reasonably healthy anyway)

Thank you for that link- it's has given me an idea of where to start.
Also thank you for the suggestion of checking out YouTube, I'm sure there's lots of good videos on there to give me a idea.
