Hi
I have recently lost 1.5 stone and have started going to the gym. I have 3 stone to go.
I've signed up for tough mudder next summer so am trying to get super fit.
I have started doing some classes at the gym that I enjoy and one of the trainers has given me a weight programme to do 3 times a week
I also take the kids swimming twice a week do try and do some lengths.
I have slap downloaded a 10k training programme that's you do 3 times a weeks
So I will be doing the following
Monday - 6am Run
- 9am weight routine
Tuesday- 10am circuit class
- 8pm Zumba
Wednesday- 9am gym/weights
Thursday - 6am run
9am gym
6pm swim
Friday - 9am spin
Saturday - 9am run
2pm swim
Sunday - 5pm body pump

Is this enough/too much/missing an important area of exercise??

The most important bit you're missing is a rest day, minimum of 1 if not 2

Well done keep going!

Agree that you need a rest day.

I guess it depends how fit you are to start with.

I'm reasonably fit, can run 10k but would struggle with that...having said that, I'm hopeless with motivation.

Will your muscles cope with it? I struggle with running the day after spinning - my legs are a bit wobbly the day after a swimming class.

My concern would be that you'd burn out quite quickly but I don't know what your routine looks like now and how much of a step up it is. I'd chat t through with your pt.

A bit yes. Your missing at least one rest day. Your body needs it. You'll just give up at that rate. But well done so far!

I think you need a rest day - I ride my pony 6 days a week, walk the dogs 2 miles and make sure I get minimum 10k steps. On top of this I go to hot yoga, gym or swim 5 times a week. So not having a complete rest day but one day of only a 2 mile walk. Trouble is I'm so much better with exercise

Definitely need a rest day. I didn't do that much exercise when I was training for a triathlon so just be aware you may get very tired or possibly burn out a bit. Good amount of weights but too much cardio I think? I would cut one of the cardio sessions either a run/swim/spin and add in a yoga/Pilates session.

Recent research shows weights combined with high intensity training is best for weight loss. Lots of cardio is less effective. On Thursday it looks like you are doing 3 sessions? Run/gym/swim I think is too much for 1 day? Unless you are super fit!

Well done though, you sound highly motivated and are doing really well.

You also need to make sure you are fuelling correctly with that level of exercise.

It looks like too much - but that depends on how fit you are to start with. Two things you will be more likely to get an injury if your body is not strong and fit enough to endure that amount of exercise and second thing is that if you are not strong and fit enough it will feel miserable and you'll be more likely to give up.
How many classes are you doing at the moment?

A rest day from aerobic or intense activity, don't have to just sit around all day, though, could still go for walks & easy cycle rides, etc.
