London to Paris bike ride

I have gone mad and agreed to do the London to Paris bike ride next year.

Problem is I haven't rode a bike in years. I'm not even sure mine is still working but I do have a gym membership I pay faithfully every month while avoiding going into the actual building.

I admit I'm very overweight and extremely lazy so I have no idea what I was thinking! Please help me! Where do I even start? What do I need to do? Now I've agreed and everyone is laughing at me I'd love to be able to take part.
