Marathon training app

I started running about 18 months ago using the c25k app.

I'm now running 10k regularly but have basically blagged it but just increasing my distance and doing a general run/walk thing but no structure.

I now have a place for vlm in April. I know I'm very lucky and it's for a charity close to my heart. I know I can't blag it like I have with my 10ks.

I've looked at loads of training plans and utterly confused myself! What I actually want is a training app that I can run on my phone, especially for those interval run days telling me when to run at tempo and when to slow down etc rather than forever watching my phone and/or watch.

Does one exist (I have looked on the App Store and it wasn't helpful) and if not how did everyone else run their interval days? Any other first time marathon advise would also be welcome (I am aware I have aaaaages to go as well but I like to be prepared!)

Yes come October the plans and apps come out and will be everywhere!

Congrats the place

It will be one of the best days of your life

I did it in 2015.... My advice is train properly. Fuel up well on the day. Get your name printed on your vest. And enjoy the day!!

Ok brilliant.

I am aware I have been lucky in 2 ways, simply getting a place and also finding out so early (I was a bit of a surprise)

I am very excited. I'm raising money for a charity who supported me when I lost my babies (arc) so I'm determined to do it right and train like fuck for it. Cheesy as it sounds they will be the reason I lace up and do 18 miles in the dark and rain when I actually want to curl up on the sofa.

I've been told about getting my name printed. I plan on getting my name on the front and our babies names and dob on the back.
