Fit Bit or cheaper alternative

Was almost about to treat myself to a post baby gift of a fit bit and was distracted by some of the suggestions popping up on Amazon. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for one of the less costly competitors? It does seem a lot of money to spend to track steps and heart rate...

I've just bought an Up 24 by Jawbone. It was heavily reduced in Costco and seems better than the really cheap ones I was looking at on Amazon. I'd love a Fitbit but I suppose you're just paying for the name and the others do the job just as well?

Fitbits are brilliant. You can do challenges with other users which help with motivation and pushing yourself. On Facebook there are fitbit groups which are good for meeting people with similar goals to yourself.

I love my fitbit.

Fitbit hr is brill i love mine altho the design isnt very nice or feminine. They have released new more expensive ones that are lovely.

If you can afford it i would go for one. I did my research before hand and the fitbits do come out well in all the comparisons.

I love it for tracking sleep and a visual of fitness increasing fr doing steps changing diet hr coming down.

I've got a Garmin and it's brilliant. Was on sale for £45 . it does everything the fitbit does except HB but it is waterproof, where as I would have had to buy a really expensive model of the fitbit to get a waterproof one.

I bought a Mii band from Amazon, I think it was about £10 and it worked surprisingly well. They've updated the app though and it isn't quite as good now.
I wasn't sure I would use it so didn't want to invest too much money. I've started running recently though and I feel the need for more stats so I've just ordered a Tom Tom gps watch!
