Going to the gym during lunch break?

Does anyone do this? I'm starting a new job in a few weeks and one of the perks is an on-site gym...would quite like to take advantage of this but because of DCs the only time I could feasibly go would be during my lunch break. Does anyone do this? How does it work (in other words is there a way to fit in a quick workout without getting so sweaty that you need to shower, re-apply makeup, do hair, etc. afterwards)?

It's not an effective work out unless you get sweaty.

Have a quick intence work out, shower and give up makeup and just brush your hair.

I do this. As Quote says it is about intensity. I use the gym at work a couple of times a week to complement marathon training and just do half an hour HIIT, shower and reapply makeup, with a quick spray of dry shampoo (not ideal but okay a couple of times a week).

Lots of gyms do 45 minute classes, I used to do a step/spin class and still have time for a quick shower after and race back to office. I'd not have time to wash hair but tied back afterwards is fine for the afternoon. If it's on site it's ideal as you don't need to walk there which added valuable minutes. Sometimes I'd take an hour and ten mins but so long as I got all work done my manager trusted me to manage my time. Lucky you, I miss going to gym at lunchtimes! Bring a packed Lynch to eat at your desk after and eat a banana late morning Smile
