weak knees

I'm doing C25k and am having trouble with my knees. When I run they feel really weak and I end up walking. Any ideaa/ suggestions?

I am building up my fitness (and weight loss) first by using a cross trainer. I am able to push myself much harder without any pain or discomfort in knees, calf's etc.

Do some strength work including glutes and quads - do squats and shoulder bridge - should help to stabilise your knees.

On UTube there are hip strengthening exercises you can look for, supposed to protect knees.
