Anyone want to join an Octoberthon thread?

Run, swim, or do some other form of exercise every day during October and then post about it.

Inspired by the increasingly inaccurately named Juneathon thread

(Juneathon rules)

I'm not actually planning on exercising every day - I'll be having 1-2 rest days each week.

I'm currently working my way through my collection of Jillian Michaels DVDs. Today's session was 30DS L3D3 followed by 6W6P L2D8.

This sounds like something I need! I swam for an hour today, is that enough? I couldn't run because I'm still recovering from running on Saturday blush it was 5k, I'm terribly unfit

Hi Whatamuckingfuddle. An hour's swimming sounds pretty impressive to me!

I did Juneathon with great results. What a shame I didn't manage to keep it up through July, August, September...

I don't think I'm going to manage something every day, I do have a 6 mile run planned for Thursday though.

Do much for work easing up after yesterday's launch hmm I didn't get time for a run this morning and dh has just rung to say he'll be another 5 hrs at work, so I'm glad I walked to pick up the children. The 2km there was at a decent pace, less so the meander home. I'll try to do a Gillian DVD after the kids are gone to bed and before I start working again

I feel better for having had a rest day. I've just done 30DS L2D4 cook tea for DC then 6W6P L2D9.

I think I'm finally getting the hang of this level of 6W6P - it is starting to be more bearable smile

No time for gym today so walked the dog for an hour and a half with my 2yo in her backpack thing. I will be better!

I do walk a lot with her - plus there were no hills! My back doesn't feel great this morning so I clearly overdid it though

I've just done 30DS L3D5 & 6W6P L2D20.

I'm really starting to feel that I actually have abs. Which is pleasing.

I got to bootcamp this morning which ended up being 30 mins of HIIT - rounds of kettlebells, jumpsquats and mountain climbers. I'm going to be sore tomorrow!

Finished off the week with 30DS L3D6 & 6W6P L2D11 (yesterday was D10, not D20 wink).

Sounds like a tough session today Kanyes - I'd be very sore after a session like that.

I'm having a rest day tomorrow - I'll be back on Sunday.

Wow, I feel I'm letting the team down! I'm fine thank you, managed to have a bike ride yesterday evening. Then walked with 2yo again this morning and went for a swim, hoping to get a good run in tomorrow as don't feel I'm doing enough to make me feel I'm making a difference - may have to reacquaint myself with Gillian M!

I was feeling particularly motivated (or possibly sadistic) today, so I did 30DS L3D8, then 6W6P L2D13 and finally 6W6P L1D16.

I'm out tomorrow, so I'll be having a rest day. I'm hopeful that I'll finish 30DS and 6W6P before I head off on holiday on Sunday smile

I went into hiding from this thread - while I stayed out too late Saturday but obviously wasn't at all tipsy then did no exercise and ate way too much Sunday and Monday. SO I am more determined than ever, I've been to the gym tonight and signed up for my first spinning class tomorrow (hopefully - I haven't heard back). I will make up I for my weekend!

I should have been hiding with you, Whata! Work has been bananas for both myself and DH, so it's been almost impossible to do anything the last few days. I got up at 6 this morning to go for a plod, and did 4km. I'm hoping to get to either bootcamp or boxing tonight if I don't fall asleep after the hatefully early start so will report back later if I manage it.

Hope your spinning goes well today, and Harry, I hope you can move after all your exertions!

I was feeling a bit sorry for myself yesterday (achy from exercising and I thought I might be coming down with the cold the DC have had). Feeling better today - 30DS L3D9 & 6W6P L2D14 now completed.

Hope it's nothing serious, Harry. I often feel weirdly fluey after a really hard session, I'm not sure why, but it happens too regularly to be coincidence.

I went to boot camp this evening and it was carnage. I've never come so close to throwing up in a class in 2 years of doing them. I washed my hair tonight so I don't have to raise my arms in the morning confused

Got out for a shirt run this morning, only about 3km (I dont know for sure because my stupid runkeeper didn't keep angry ) but better than nothing. I'm going to try to keep up the early morning run Monday to Friday from now on, anything on tip will be a bonus.
