What to wear?!

I've just taken up running and I need some new kit (need isn't strictly true, but this is my reward for completing the couch25k app), but I'm struggling to find much. I don't wear a lot of pink and purple normally, but this seems to be the main colour available. I'd also like to still be running into the cooler months, so do I go for layers or will I need very different stuff? Help!

My running kit has:
Short sleeve t-shirts
Long sleeve t-shirts
Windproof hooded top

Leggings of different lengths

Cap for sun and rain
Gloves
Buff

It's just short sleeves or vest tops at the moment. In the cooler months I layer up, so in the coldest weather I might be wearing 2 long sleeve tops and the windproof, and the buff and gloves. It's easy to adjust layers as I warm up then.

I started with my existing hiking gear and gradually bought items. I love the windproof for winter comfort, and it's neon for darker days.

You don't need to buy cool weather stuff just yet. Where are you looking, that is all pink and purple?

For today's run I'm wearing long trousers (grey with red bits at the side), black sports bra, and red T shirt that came with a 10k done last year. Also a headband, which keeps the sweat from dripping in my eyes (and keeps my ears warm in winter), and a sweat wristband, for mopping my forehead/ nose.

I look for zippy pockets and good fit in the items I buy.

I don't buy pink. I have red, green and fluorescent yellow running tops, all Nike. I like Nike stuff, I find it washes and wears very well.

I tend to wear short sleeves or a vest type thing in summer with running shorts. Capri length in spring and autumn and long tights in winter.

For really cold weather I layer short sleeve and long sleeve tops with gloves and a running jacket if it's below freezing.

I always run with a buff visor that keeps my hair out of my face and shades me from the sun or rain.

I like running in my Triathlon top. It has a mesh bra inside which is sufficient to support my AA boobs. It also comes with a cycling pocket at the back which is useful for my Parkrun bar code.

I find lidl running gear surprisingly good for the price. I have two pairs of their Capri trousers. Usually wear technical tops that I have from races and a Nike crop top. Sportsdirect good for value too.

Thanks. I live in the middle of nowhere, so mainly have to buy things online - are there any good websites for this sort of stuff?

Wiggle and Start Fitness would be my usuals. If your size falls at either of the extremes you'll get plenty of sale bargains.

You'll get some bargains in Sports Direct, but I find the quality quite lacking in their running gear and their sizing is a bit funky too.

I love Wiggle, it's my go to website for most clothes, running related.

Sports Direct can be good, use the website rather than the horrific stores!

I've had some bargains from a Nike outlet store too but I'm sure there aren't many of those around.

I do tend to wear Nike stuff mostly, I like the fit and range of colours that aren't pink!
