I wonder when you are all doing your couch to 5k program how you time your runs especially in the first couple weeks. How do you know when the 30 secs or 90 secs is up. Is there an app?

There are free podcasts that I download to the podcast app.
I found Get Running to be very good.
I have been doing Zombie Couch to 5k, done by the people who make the Zombies, Run! game. It is awesome, it plays your music but interrupts it to tell you when to walk or run. There is also an ongoing story line that keeps it interesting.
I just downloaded the NHS podcasts. The musics not great by any means, but it does the job.
