Are ther any other such like obstacle courses which you have taken part in or plan to in the near future? I would like to get a group together but it needs to be a fun run, and not as hard as the above, but still challenging.

Wolf run is good for an initial run. Its 10K but you seldom run more than 1k at a time. I've done 3 and will be doing a 4th about 2 weeks from now.
Just make sure you do upper body and jumping training.

I loved the Wolf Run last year (waves to geeklove). Planning the Autumn Wolf at present, though I'll be doing it by myself at this rate - can't persuade any mates to do it with me! It's not as macho as some of the other events - it really is about challenging yourself and helping your fellow runners. It's not timed, which helps.

PS should have said, I did an Insane Terrain 10k last year too but enjoyed it less than the Wolf Run.

I did the Wolf Run on Saturday and the mud was bibilical! It rained all day and I found it the most taxing of all the Wolf runs I've done. Let's just say I was swimming in places most of the time you don't.

I would recommend you get used to running, scrambling and getting wet and muddy though. Focus also on upper body strength and agility, you'll need it!

Waves at fishandjam!

Also has anyone done the Tough Guy. Only I appear to have signed up for that too...

I want to do something like this.....but.... I wear glasses! This puts me off a bit

However, my bootcamp has found a course which we can hire to practice the obstacles at our own pace.

Your glasses would be quite safe on the Wolf Run anyone Smile
