Silly Question: 30 day Shred

2 years ago, I started C25K, and have been running 5-6km a couple of times a week since finishing.

However DH is now going to be working away, so I've ordered a copy of the 30 day shred, as running is going to be difficult (the 5 yr old can ride a bike and come with me, but the 3 yr old needs more support than I can give if I'm running).

So, is it designed to be done every day for 30 days, or can I just work my way through it 3 times a week?

Hi addicted

I recently started 30 day shred. You do level 1 for 10 days, level 2 ditto and level 3 ditto.
Haven't seen anything about rest days but of course its up to you if you want to, 30 d s is designed to be an intensive work out but am sure you will still see benefits even if you're not doing it everyday. I've found it good, on d5 of l1 and definitely feel muscles more toned. Good luck!

Thought it was a bit like that from the title. Might try every other day. Not sure I'll stick with every dayBlush

Somewhere online I read that Jillian had said you should take rest days and that it was the marketing dept. that came up with the slightly misleading title BUT from most of the reviews and results I've seen online, the people who do it continuously have got better results.

I'll be starting (again) tomorrow and am determined to get past level one this time! I will definitely be taking active rest days once or twice a week where I do a long walk or zumba instead to mix it up.

Good luck with it!

I'd say I'm managing about 5 times a week but it's certainly effective (I did 5 days of L1 and felt ready to move onto L2 which I've found to be quite a step up). I much prefer it to forcing my self out for a run.
