I would really like to start swimming but am very short sighted. Can anyone recommend me somewhere good to buy prescription googles please?

i got mine from specsavers, they are not my exact prescription but close enough, and cost less than twenty quid

I didn't even think of the opticians silly me! I'm not sure I'll be able to chose my prescription off the shelf though due to severe astigmatism

They have to order them, it took about a week I think to get them.

I got mine online from Butterflies Healthcare, -10 in each eye but not much astigmatism, they don't give perfect correction (I really need -11 in one eye) but an awful lot better than nothing. A lot of places only go down to -6 or so.

I've got these. Awesome, arrived within a couple of days.

Are they comfy too? Have not tried goggles since I was a child and hated them then. Last time I tried to swim though I realised my sight was just too bad though and I would need some prescription goggles

Omg, who knew? I never knew you could get prescription goggles!! I've been faffing with my lenses all this time!

I have terrible eyes, -10 with astigmatism and I got some through a seller on amazon which were cheap (less than £20) and are brilliant!

Oh great thanks all, so many places to try. I might start with specsavers as last glasses were from there and I don't know my actual prescription!

Great thread, OP! I always use my contact lenses because I assumed prescription goggles would be v expensive but I can stretch to £20 I reckon.
