Does anyone have one? Just wondering how quickly you notice a body change.

Use to use a gym years ago but my workouts with the PT are on a different level, so I must have been cheating before.

Seeing them twice a week and then I do C25K at the weekend.

I started working with one last month, have signed up until February or March, I want to be able to run longer distances without injury (currently ok up to and around half marathon). Most of our sessions seem to be spent with her stretching me while I lie down and the only bodily changes I've noticed so far are bruises all over my legs! She is a rehabilitative PT though rather than a sort gain-lean-mass (which would be my other goal) or lose-fat type trainer. We are also starting to work on my stride length and gait (the way I run puts too much strain on my calf muscles) but it's all very running specific.

I've had 16 hrs with one since sept. I have dropped a dress size, a few pounds, toned all over, increased my comfortable running distance from 3 miles to nearly 10, hill runs are easier, my clothes fit me better and I feel genuinely strong. I love my time with my PT but can't afford any more sessions after 20 hrs, I need to win the lottery for a thrice weekly training session!

I also feel a million times more confident, he has written me a gym programme and I am confident I will be able to do it on my own, I wouldn't ever have left the cardio machines in the gym before, now I think I might just look like I know what I am doing!!

Just had my fourth session and I really enjoy it. I never use to work this hard before.

After December though I think I will have to drop down to once a week and a program for the other days.

Icenimist, I never worked this hard before either! And when I say I can't do it, my trainer says I can I and I generally manage it. It remains to be seen if I can manage it myself in January when my sessions run out...

I have a personal trainer and it really helps me stay motivated. I have lost three stone, toned up and work out five times a week now.
