Eek! Just done it, but will be tweeting not blogging. Did a trial run in Janathon where I didn't join officially but did manage to exercise every day! Not sure how Juneathon will go as I have a hilly HM next weekend bu I guess it will make me do some active recovery!!

Tis is just the kick up the arse I need. Can i join in?

Gym closed and I am suffering as no alternative and not motivated to find time to run more than once a week.

Yay! And I will tweet/blog too. Fantastic and thank you for inspiration!

how is one meant to make a blog about running slowly and not even for a very long way remotely interesting though?

Lie about weird things you saw on the run!

Report
Mitchy1nge · 31/05/2014 14:12

I was just about to say 'what am I likely to see where I run' but actually I ran into the unlicensed shotgun man again the other day, turns out he shoots rabbits for the owl sanctuary

but he is really fucking weird, full camouflage as if the bunnies are likely to see him and return fire

will just let it be boring then I can go on and on about cadence and calories and stuff

good work! How was day 2, and 3 so far? Yesterday I did the 3 easy miles from running plan and walked same distance in evening. Today is meant to be a rest day so did a runner's world yoga thing which was great.

I might try your yoga thing later in the week Mitchy,it might be a good loosener before or after my half on Sunday! Slow start to juneathon forme, but otoh have done something every day, and am not meant to be running too much this week due to tapering for aforementioned half. So not too bad! Trying not to eat too much in misguided attempt at carb loading.....

DD had a tumble last night doing handstands so the rest of the evening was spent in A&E so my planned run didn't happen :(

All I had time to fit in today were 2 walks - a 2.5k around the village, and a 3k trip to the Post Office!

roquefortlover · 04/06/2014 21:00

Hope your daughter is ok today dizzy. Half hour run for me squeezed in between work and school pickup!

Report
Mitchy1nge · 04/06/2014 21:54

hope she is ok too, am still addicted to handstands even at my advanced age and sometimes they do go wrong Confused

I forgot to link you roquefort to the daily yoga thing from doyouyoga.com, am on day 11 and it's 'restorative yoga' I find them a bit variable but they conveniently land in my email most days

did my 3 miles, was getting desperate as had spent the day shifting heavy. awkwardly shaped things out of a 5th floor flat into a ka and then to a first floor flat (no lifts obviously) and eventually I just had to piss off and do laps of the little meadow until the miles were achieved

running plan weirdly has TWO rest days in a row this week (do not agree with more than one day between runs) so not sure what to do for juneathon, I could possibly swim, timetable/nerves permitting
