Hi all, I'm a very fit first trimester cyclist who also runs 5K and does Les Mills GRIt 3 x week, pump,combat and CXWorx very regularly. My last pregnancy I cycled only til 32 weeks, then became seriously ill with HELLP syndrome. Have just found out I am 6 weeks and lost 6 stone in last 2.5 years, I love my exercise and would like to continue GRIT and CXWorx etc, can anyone share their tips experience with me Thanks G x
Well, during my gym instructor days (many years ago) the rule was it is fine for you to carry on with what you already do but not to take up anything new if it's really vigorous.
During the first trimester your baby cannot regulate body temperature though so maybe wear a monitor for your heart rate and try not to get too hot...carry on but just try and take it down a notch and just be aware of getting too hot and bothered.
