running - I need a better bra!

Good afternoon all, I have been exercising for a while now but newly pregnant.

went to the gym today and tried to do my usual on the treadmill but found that it hurt my Boobs like hell!

I have several sports bras but none seem up to the job of holding my (sensitive) norks steady. I'm not massive or anything 34DD but I need something to help!

incidentally road running doesn't seem to be too painful! Wink

First things first, are you sure you are a 34dd? Have you measured in the tight underbust, then (with nothing on) bend over so your body is parallel to the floor and measure loosely round the largest part. Underbust is your band size, over bust difference in inches is the cup - Bra Guru.

I usually size up in the band for sports bras as they are so tight. My current favourite running bra is a M&S crop top style one (bugger to get on) and strangely a tescos bargain one

I have measured using the mn method and currently that's correct - it's going to change though!
my most supportive one is the one I wore today and it is rather uncomfortable under bust so I know I need to try something better.

I have a newly opened sports direct near me, so thinking of something from there?

I am 34E and have just purchased my first ever shock absorber! It's amazing. They don't move at all, but on negative side, it's made me realise how much my tummy wobbles Grin

Shockabsorber Run bra - fantastic, but band comes up tight so you may want to get the next band size up as well as your normal size and try before you buy

Yup another vote for shock absorbers. I am a 34E

I wouldn't size up in the band because they get baggy quite quickly (if six or so months is quick) and CHAFF on long runs, although someone told me to think of them as shoes with only so many miles in Shock

obviously I mean chafe Blush

it's the shock absorber ultimate run bra with the fiddly top fastening I am out of love with

chaff would be irritating too and has made several appearances where it's not expected or wanted

the shoes analogy is probably right - my band seems to have become tighter though Confused - too much work on my lats maybe Grin. I don't think I could even do my normal size band up on a shock absorber Run - I am usually 32DD, size 8.

They do have limited miles in them Mitchy - but you can downgrade them to riding bras. And not washing with fab conditioner helps them stay nicer imo.

I'm a 30FF, but can't do a shock absorber up in a 30.

I don't think you'll find a good bra in Sports Direct, much as I frequent them for running kit.

Watch the adjustable hooks on the back of the shock absorber run bra- one has ahem 'come undone' twice on me and once on my friend. Mine was in the gym, leaving me looking very lopsided in the mirror, and hers in a race, leaving her crouching behind a hedge taking her top off Grin
I put a couple of stitches in all my bras to keep everything secure!!
