Quite a few of us are interested in doing the Wolf Run this September so we were thinking of getting a team together.

It's for all abilities, it should be really good fun. It's not timed and it'll be too wet to wear your Garmin, so don't worry if you're not a fast runner. We'll be a team and no Wolef will be left behind.

It's on the 6th & 7th of September just south of Coventry, so fairly central. If we get a team together we get a slightly discounted entry.

If you're interested, post on here and we'll start making a list.

We also need to pick a charity so if everyone wants to suggest their favourite one and then we can argue about it for ages with no firm decision being made.

So, I'm in and my favourite charity is the Birth Trauma Association.

are there actual wolves?

Tiredemma Tue 14-Jan-14 10:05:25

are there actual wolves?

Yes- but they have muzzles on.

Im up for it-
but its DD's 1st Bday on the 7th so I can only do the 6th.

Im happy to go with the general consensus for Charity.

My ONLY demand is that we wear these-

We can scare them away with our wolef fleeces.

Mitchy1nge Tue 14-Jan-14 10:08:36

sad poor wolves

am in if there are unmuzzled wolves

feetheart Tue 14-Jan-14 11:42:13

I'm in if I don't get into GNR through the ballot.

I tend to run for Winston's Wish but am happy to go with the majority.

WOLF stands for Woods Obstacles Lakes and Fields.

No wolves were/are hurt in the running of this event grin

Mitchy1nge Tue 14-Jan-14 14:03:19

that is a huge fucking disappointment sad thought it would be like *THIS* but with running

Mitchy1nge Tue 14-Jan-14 14:03:45

angry at misleading title of event angry

EauRouge Tue 14-Jan-14 14:26:11

I feel this is partly my fault for not capitalising 'WOLF'. I apologise.

Mitchy1nge Tue 14-Jan-14 14:31:36

don't worry, the disappointment and grief will fade in time like the memory of my extremely mild injury and everything will be ok again smile

am definitely going to do one of those mad African marathons though where they have helicopters and stuff to steer the stampeding wildlife away grin

Tiredemma Tue 14-Jan-14 15:11:57

I could wear this and chase you?

Mitchy1nge Tue 14-Jan-14 15:19:16

ooooh you saucy devil! ok you're on!

I probably wouldn't run very fast at all if you transformed yourself into a Well Hot Man under the mask grin

Tiredemma Tue 14-Jan-14 15:32:41

no chance of that happening.

Mitchy1nge Tue 14-Jan-14 15:36:52

life denies me EVERYTHING

why? why why why

Tiredemma Tue 14-Jan-14 15:39:09

Quit moaning and get on the race Wolfie.

Mitchy1nge Tue 14-Jan-14 15:41:18

ok ok am in

don't even know where Coventry is but sign me up, as long as I come out in one piece for the Berlin marathon at the end of the month

Mitchy1nge Tue 14-Jan-14 15:42:03

am dressing up as some sort of sultry she-wolef

Tiredemma Tue 14-Jan-14 15:43:45

yes you must. no heels though

EauRouge Tue 14-Jan-14 15:48:19

Berlin Marathon? Ooh, lucky you!

Cov is pretty much right in the middle of the country. Just to the left of Birmingham.

Not sure how sultry we'll be covered in mud at the end, but we can all do duckfaces for the team photo. I bet we'll look amazing.

Right, so Team Wolef so far-

feetheart (depending on GNR ballot)

EauRouge Tue 14-Jan-14 15:48:58

Shit, it's just to the right of Birmingham. I've got a dodgy shoulder today and I may have taken too much methocarbamol.

Tiredemma Tue 14-Jan-14 15:54:13

do you think we will look as exhillirated as this lot

EauRouge Tue 14-Jan-14 15:55:58

How tall are they? I'm not very tall. Will I need a snorkel?

Tiredemma Tue 14-Jan-14 15:57:18

well im 4ft 11" so if you need a snorkel I might need a full diving suit

Mitchy1nge Tue 14-Jan-14 15:59:44

will just head in vague direction of birmingham then grin
