Would anyone like to join me doing the squat challenge?

I've just started the squat challenge tonight. The aim is in 30 days to get you doing 250 squats. Anyone else up for it? I did the first 50 today, didn't realise it would be so hard, but then, I am unfit grin

Day 1 - 50 squats
Day 2 - 55 squats
Day 3- 60 squats
Day 4 - Rest
Day 5 - 70 squats
Day 6 - 75 squats
Day 7 - 80 squats
Day 8 - Rest
Day 9- 100 squats
Day 10 - 105 squats
Day 11 - 110 squats
Day 12 - Rest
Day 13 - 130 squats
Day 14 - 135 squats
Day 15 - 140 squats
Day 16 - Rest
Day 17 - 150 squats
Day 18 - 155 squats
Day 19 - 160 squats
Day 20 - Rest
Day 21 - 180 squats
Day 22 - 185 squats
Day 23 - 190 squats
Day 24 - Rest
Day 25 - 220 squats
Day 26 - 225 squats
Day 27 - 230 squats
Day 28 - Rest
Day 29 - 240 squats
Day 30 - 250 squats

I fancy this but have no idea if I am squatting properly! grin

I don't think I squatted down enough when I did mine, but I was feeling it at the end, so I must have been doing some good...

How long does 50 squats take anyway?

It took me about 3 minutes, but I don't think I went low enough.

I'm in too!

Just went to my first body conditioning class this evening, it was pretty squat-tastic. Was really tough, but felt so good after the class. Although think I'll definitely be feeling those muscles tomorrow....

So, I did 50 squats at about 10pm, just went to get a bass of water and I can hardly walk!

My legs feel like they're giving way, I almost ended up in a heap at the foot of the stairs!

Is this an indication of how unfit I really am?

I had the same, and the person who got me started on this thinks I wasn't going low enough on my squats. The problem is, I went as low as I could! I'm hoping it will start to get easier the more I get used to them. I last did squats when I was in school, so quite a while ago....

I'm going to try this, I find squats really hard, but am off on holiday in six weeks so it would be nice not to have a flabby bum.

Ooh yes, I did this a while ago and promised I'd stay doing some daily after the 30 days.... Oops! So I'll join and start again if that's ok? I also added 100 sit ups each day to it last time which I'll prob do again..

I'm not sure I'm brave enough to do the sit ups. Would you all do the same amount as the squats per day?

Ooh, I'm tempted by this. Is it OK to do running as well? Don't want to knacker my leg muscles by not giving them a break.

eau I'm doing c25k at the same time. I'm going running tonight, think I'll be slower than ever though, as my thighs already feel like they are on fire smile

I can barely go up and down the stairs today - every muscle in my legs ache! So sore... But no pain no gain right?!
