I managed to get to the last day of level 1 last time, and was doing great but then i lapsed!

I have just restarted today, I am using the video from youtube (just search on 30 day shred level 1!) on my ipad.

I am going to post, mainly as a way to motivate myself and "report in' but any company or morale support appreciated

Just sat in kitchen now with glass of water recovering !

I'm in, but with Ripped in 30 instead of Shred. I got quite far with the shred in January but I've stopped and started so many times I'm a bit bored of it now. Ripped is pretty much the exact same thing but with some different moves. I did it for the first time tonight and have barely been able to lift my mug of tea since!

It'll be good to have somewhere to report in - I always get further when I have a shred buddy :)

Hi Wem, thanks for answering - delighted to have a buddy! So until tomorrow...have rewarded myself with a slice of cheesecake Blush

Ooh, cheesecake :)

Do you have a regular time of day that you're going to do it?

DD2 has dropped her naps since I last did it so I'm going to have to wait til they're in bed, which will be hard when all I want to do is collapse on the sofa. Hopefully once I'm a few days in I'll be bursting with energy and desperate to get going Hmm Grin

My boys are school age, so after bed at moment as it is the holidays and not a moment free in the day. Need to squeeze in sometime between bed for them, dinner for us and Game of Thrones! DH putting them to bed at moment Smile

I've been doing 60 minutes on a treadmill every day, but I'm losing motivation. I'm tempted to try this instead...

Does it take long? And do you really see results? I'm easily demotivated if I don't see any good coming of anything Blush

Between the footie and Game of Thrones tonight there isn't much time, so I'll have to start tomorrow I think.

I'm busy(ish) this evening so I decided to see if I could get my dds interested in 'exercising' along with me this afternoon. DD1 used to love doing shred with me, she had her special exercise clothes and I gave her spice jars as weights Grin. Worked for a while but then DD2 attempted various sabotage tactics. Think I mostly managed to do it effectively though.

Caja - the whole thing, warm up and cool down as well, is about 30 mins. I definitely see a difference within a week. It's great! The only problem is it's really not a long term thing, so I do it for a couple of weeks, feel great, but then get bored/fed up of finding the time and drop it. I'm planning on doing it then joining a boot camp or something for the summer.

I've just restarted and am on day three.

I won't be going above Lvl one though. Last time I did it Lvl two put me in hospital for a week. It's taken over a year to pluck the courage up to start again.

Blimey Viva, a week in hospital sounds extreme, was it a particular move?

Well done Standing - I'm very impressed that you cracked on with it even after GoT and wine.

(I quite like Mew as an alternative nn :) )

Well, dd2 requested more exercising this afternoon, and had a pretty good go at some of the moves too! So I'm done for the day. Day three - I think it's supposed to not hurt so much from now on, I've been pretty achy the last couple of mornings.

My back just started hurting, like a real pain in one hip/side of lower back. Woke up one morning with it, it got worse, I did shred again. Then couldn't sit or stand. Went to a&e sobbing in pain and spent a week been given morphine hourly.

I'd slipped a disc.

Viva - heck, be careful!!!

I missed yesterday as it was my birthday. Not shredded today either, but have worked hard at the gym so I think that sort of still counts. Back on the "programme" tomorrow!!!!

Mew - well done, another day closer!

Hi I, I have started doing the shred this week!

I have a few questions though, it seems to focus more on arms and less on butt/thigh. Or it might be that I have such huge butts and thighs that it will take much longer to have an effect! Blush

I don't really like doing the weights. I have pretty slim arms and would like to keep it that way! My main issue is lower body - butt's and thighs. Can i do it without the weights?

Happy birthday Standing :)

I missed yesterday. Taking it as a rest day - not something she mentions in Shred but she does in Ripped so I'm going with it. I'm also going for my first British Military Fitness session in the park this evening so that's my exercise for the day, I hope I survive!

What weights do you have Jelly? Maybe use lighter ones? I have 1kg ones and don't feel like I bulk up when I do it.

Hi, can I join? I really need to start shred again... Started in March and managed to do two weeks before DS had a mega growth spurt and attached himself to my boob for a week...I felt great during those two weeks though, and really need to get in shape, have nearly two stone to lose since having DS and he is nearly six months old... Ugh. Ok will attempt shred today and report back:) good luck with today everyone:)

Thanks Wem, I am using 1 kg ones, can do most of it except some bits with them.

Though haven't used them for last 2 days as I cannot find them! Blush

Jelly, i have wimped out of using the weights and have still got three inches off my waist in six or so weeks. I do the shred a few days a week, other dvds a few days a week, sometimes jillian or davina and more moderate exercise two days week

Wow light! That is good. What other dad's do you use, it would be good to change some days I think.

And the weights, DH hid them after DS2 (nearly 2) found them and thought it would be fun to drop one on my toe!! Shock

Thing is, he hid them so well, even he doesn't know where they are!!

But we are moving house in the next 3 weeks so I am sure they will turn up!!

I use a mixture, some older davina, some pump it up, jillian six week six pack, ten minute solution, and billy blanks taebo. Basically whatever is free on internet or cheap in charity shops. I find rosemary conley too easy now except for the salsasize ones?

Ps if you go on youtube, and look at BeFit, Lionsgate fitness, the company who produce jillian michaels dvds have put a lot of free workouts on youtube, which is great as its guilt free
