It's 5K in total (including the walking bit), but, actually, it's more about running for 30 mins in total, no matter what the distance is you cover. Speed doesn't matter, as long as you keep running/hobbling along.
I am on week 6 now, and from what I have read on these boards very few people are running a full 5k at the end of the C25K programme (most vary from 3-4K), but they are all running for 30 mins.
Thanks, I've been trying to track how far I'm going but still wasn't making it over 4k so thought I might not be trying hard enough! Mind you last week it said I'd only done 2k but I'm hoping the gps stopped working
