So pissed off about the change of date. We'd already booked flights and hotel for the 12th and won't be able to change either to attend on the new date. Very poor organisation by PV and it will potentially lose the march a huge number of people.

Have you any idea why it's been changed?

This time, I expect that the mood will be much much uglier than in the past.

Yes, this is the email I received from Stephen Fry on behalf of the People's Vote campaign this evening.

"But I’m writing to tell you the date is changing to October 19th - a week later than planned. The original date would have clashed with a sponsored run being held that morning to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital. We didn't want those participating in the race to get caught up in the vast crowds we’re going to have, to undermine fund-raising for one of Britain's best-loved charities, or to do anything which might distract attention from the importance of our march."

Disappointing that it's taken them this long to recognise the clash, the previous date of the 12th has been on the PV website and fb page for a number of weeks and I imagine lots of people will already have made travel arrangements. The new date will also clash with the start of half-term holidays for a lot of people with children. Rubbish planning.

I’m so angry about this, it’s a total shambles. The GOSH is a 5k fun run in the morning of the 12th, I don’t see why the start point for the March couldn’t have been moved and donations sent to GOSH in support. It could have been so much more positive and now anyone north of what, Birmingham? is unlikely to come. Changing my train ticket will cost £267 quid, plus booking time of work and childcare. Plus one of the organisers has put a really sarcastic post on Twitter along the lines of ‘aren’t the sick kids more important’.

Disappointed too as it’s start of half term so poor planning.
