I can guarantee the only person I have sex with has absolutely no power to stop brexit
If he did, I'd be doing it more :o

This is on Carrie Symonds. And if I were her I'd be on permanent strike already.

In 2009 Kenyan women enforced a sex ban to protest political infighting and there was a stable government in a week! Grin

I guess you would have to get Tory wags involved yeah

Does BJ promise to pull out no matter what the situation?

What I really hate about when sex strikes are suggested is it's always asking women to stop having sex with men. This implies men have the power, women don't like sex and women only have sex to please men (and only with men). Bullshit.

Why would everyone stopping having sex suddenly sort out Brexit anyway?!

I agree fromthefloorboardsup - it is shit. Demeaning - even if it was meant lightheartedly. Too many people think like that.

lol of course it was meant to be lighthearted, I heard it discussed on a podcast

It doesn't imply women don't like sex and only have it to please men, that's ridiculous. That's like saying a hunger strike implies that people don't like food. But yes it does imply men have the power, which they do in most societies in the world

I think that might only work if you were a remainer and your partner a leave with influence!!

Well done for trying to bring some humour to the Brexit mess

Theres an Ancient Greek comedy, Lysistrata, where the women stage a sec strike in order to end the Pelopponesian war so it's not a new idea.

Bloody sexist though

@sexstrikeagainstbrexit but food strikes aren't done by women against men.

Probably not. He's looking to renegotiate the withdrawal agreement.

Ok Lysistrata. But you need to convince all the women to take part.

In a country of fully emancipated women, what a crock of shite.
