Beautiful cat, wheresmymojo.

Ours will never stay still for photos, though I keep trying!

I'll be watching.

It's very easy for a politician to make an utter tit of themselves quite quickly, in front of an audience of millions, as Ed Davey so haplessly showed on here earlier today.

I predict that Boris will be a loud, arrogant twat who will speak over everyone else and drown them out. Full of bluster and not a single tangible fact to be found. And all the fuckwits, of whom there are many, will think he's brilliant and vote for him.

Is Alexander Boris de Pfeffel actually turning up?

But it doesn't matter how much of a tit they make of themselves - the Tory membership are the ones who are voting and the sensible ones seem to have left the party.

Given the low expectations, I think BJ will probably manage to do better than expected this evening. Unless he goes full on Dead Ringers Good Boris and Bad Boris, which would at least be entertaining.
I hope Rory skewers him though.

Took a bit of digging, but thought it'd be nice to have the numbers in one place. Source is the Guardian live blog:

And here are the results with changes from last Thursday, and overall percentage.

Boris Johnson - 126 - up 12 - 40%

Jeremy Hunt – 46 - up 3 - 15%

Michael Gove – 41 - up 4 - 13%

Rory Stewart – 37 - up 18 - 12%

Sajid Javid – 33 - up 10 - 11%

Dominic Raab – 30 - up 3 - 10%

Report
TheMShip · 18/06/2019 19:11

I suspect Javid's support will drop in tomorrow's vote. Could be as many as 50 votes in play, not just the 30 Raab supporters.

I wonder if the debate tonight is actually going to be all about dumping on Stewart - Johnson for obvious reasons and the others because he could take votes from all of them. They’d all rather take lumps out of him than take lumps out of the man they’re going to be petitioning for a job come July

Thanks Red
Posted this on the last thread before I realised you’d all moved on.

Posting again as I’m still too cross to just talk to myself about it...

Apologies if this has already been covered but I’m a bit Shock at the YouGov poll of Tory party members. Yes, I know they’re a Brexity bunch but 63% want Brexit even if it means Scotland leaves the U.K. and 59% want it even if it means N.I does. What on earth happened to the Unionist bit of Conservative and Unionist?

61% want Brexit even if it causes significant damage to the economy.

The real corker is 60% would be happy with Farage as Conservative leader.

And that, I suppose, tells us all we need to know about the party membership...

Is it reasonable to hope that BJ makes such a blithering idiot of himself that the whole country INCLUDING ALL TORIES understands that we cannot function with him in no 10? Because he could, couldn't he? He has got it in him to cock this up, please please please?
