Anyone going?

I went to a anti Brexit march a while ago and met a few people who had voted Leave (one spoke on the stage) after believing all the lies about how easy and great Brexit would be. People were nice to them and didn't blame them. I felt quite sorry for them and admired their honesty.
It was actually really brave for them to admit they'd made a mistake, most Leavers I know still say they want Brexit although I don't really know anybody who still thinks it'll be good for NI or the economy. They (now) say they knew it would cost us money all along.

I'm going. I hope it's a good turnout - not that the BBC will report on it anyway ...

I'm going with a few others. I think you're right about the BBC if past marches are anything to go by. I really think we are heading for a cliff edge worse possible Brexit. Not sure marching will make much difference but in years to come I want to show my children that I did everything I could to protect their future. I think we'll rejoin in the decades to come with much worse terms than we have now.

Are all our tabloids pro Brexit?

I know some broadsheets are pro EU but broadsheets don't generally have such shouty (made up) headlines. If we had some they might print some Brexit info that only the well informed see at the moment. BREXIT COSTING YOU £900 A YEAR ALREADY! That sort of thing.

Please share the link if you can. Hopefully lots of people will go.

I wonder if EDL/Britain First will mount a counter demonstration? They did at the last (local) anti Brexit march I went to.

When I was on a march in August 2016 there was a counter protest - a pitiful handful of people shouting at the side of the road about democracy. It was a lot of fun yelling 'shame on you' at them, as the thousands of us walked by.
On the march in sept 2017 there was no counter protest. A lager lout type did walk past yelling 'If you love brexit clap your hands' like a football chant... but he was a passerby not an actual official protest.
The brexiteers can't organise a piss up in a brewery - and it's going so unbelievably badly that I would be quite surprised if there is any kind of organised counter demonstration.

I also think we're headed for a crash out. I think they are going to fudge along and achieve absolutely nothing until March. I'd be very surprised if we are given the extended transition period TM wants. Then we will be faced with crash out or a last minute revocation of article 50. I think it's 50/50 which way it will go.

I hope to. Like others, I will be able to tell my grandchildren I did what I could.
