Interestingly the general vibe I am picking up in Asia is that they are now disinterested in Brexit and Trump which was not the case in the Autumn, when there was collective shock at the stupidity of it, they have moved on . There have been some wry comments about Leavers who have passed through declaring they have "regained their independence", as in they will take that seriously when the planes and container ships stop leaving piled high with IPads and cheap textiles.... They have faith in their economic juganaut and the sense this is their century and Britain on its way back to being a small island on the edge of Europe

So citizen power, crowdfunding, social media are all coalescing into discernible pressures on established - and sometimes surprising - targets.

Given the entire premise (very noble, lofty, and IMO doomed to failure) of the enterprise is that the existing market is broken and that they believe there is a market for what they are offering, the $64,000 is can this translate into another broken market. That of UK politics.

The "brokeness" of UK politics seems to be a function of the geographical nature of representation. I wonder if there's something that could attack that to weaken the current hegemony which has delivered 3 parties whose only differential is rosette colour. It's certainly not policy.
