I've only given a tenner, but there are plenty of rich people (unless it's all stealth boasting about dipique candles) here, so we should be able to help.

It's currently at 18.507k and needs 70!

TiggyD Sat 10-Dec-16 09:25:39

Who started it? Is there a group called People Against Democracy?

WaggyMama Sat 10-Dec-16 09:26:29

Brexit IS going to happen!

I voted remain but I believe in democracy. Yawn

FrogletinaBallerina Sat 10-Dec-16 09:34:12

Bless those kind hearted lawyers who are going to work less than their market rate to get this through the courts hmm

You are throwing your money away, Brexit will (unfortunately) be happening.

surferjet Sat 10-Dec-16 09:34:43

And I have diptque candles in every room.

MarieBurnham Sat 10-Dec-16 09:42:05

Well I don't think its anti democratic. They are trying to get a record based on what deal the government can secure.

Most people had no idea what they were voting for, this would be a much fairer vote.

Temporaryname137 Sat 10-Dec-16 09:43:01

Are you one of the lawyers who will do rather well out of this, OP?!

FrogletinaBallerina Sat 10-Dec-16 09:44:07

People did know what they were voting for - it was very clear.

Let's say this goes ahead, and Brexit is blocked. You will then end up with crowd funding on the Leave side, it would be a waste of time.

Also, we live in a democracy. You can't stamp your feet just because you don't like the result.

RachelRagged Sat 10-Dec-16 09:44:32

Why do some constantly treat Leavers as thick ? with the "they didn't know what they were voting for"? How patronising .

I voted Remain by the way !

This looks like an excellent way to raise a lot of money; then say - oh it took too long to raise and MPs have voted for the timescale and Europe have already decided what the "deal" will be; it's too late.

MarieBurnham Sat 10-Dec-16 09:48:06

No I'm not a legal professional. Else I would have dipique candles in every room!

I've heard countless stories about the people that voted for brexit and now regretting it. I don't want to say anything inflammatory but it was the less educated people below middle class that voted en mass for it.

TheWitTank Sat 10-Dec-16 09:49:13

Voted remain, but this is a pointless excersise and I won't be voting. Brexit is going to happen.

TheWitTank Sat 10-Dec-16 09:49:32

Voting? Donating

ShowMePotatoSalad Sat 10-Dec-16 09:49:37

Placemarking because I live for drama.

FrogletinaBallerina Sat 10-Dec-16 09:50:40

Can we have some facts please which state that "it was the less educated people below middle class that voted en mass for it"?

You are embarrassing yourself. I think you'd have to be "less educated" to keep getting roped into these crowd funding exercises.

MarieBurnham Sat 10-Dec-16 09:50:57

It's gone up 3 grand in half an hour! So thanks to those that have donated. It may reach its goal today!

It's a long shot but we owe our childrens future to do everything we can to make sure Britain gets a good deal.

I don't think anyone will be getting rich off this. 70k in legal find s won't go very far.

Scooby20 Sat 10-Dec-16 09:52:44

There are also plenty of remainers that voted remain but didn't really have a clue. They just wanted to keep things the way they were.

In every vote we have ever had there will be people who haven't looked at the issues properly. If that's enough to discount the referendum, no vote should ever stand.

ThroughThickAndThin01 Sat 10-Dec-16 09:53:10

Better start another one then OP for the next £70k needed.

DramaInPyjamas Sat 10-Dec-16 09:56:16

I won't be donating as I sadly only have Yankee Candles in every room sad

RachelRagged Sat 10-Dec-16 09:57:48

Less educated = poor ? Is that what you mean ??

How patronising (again) . My "poor" DM was lucky enough to go to a grammar school from a poor family , you snob.

TiggyD Sat 10-Dec-16 10:03:01

so "less educated" people's votes shouldn't count? And can you tell they're less educated because they voted leave?

GahBuggerit Sat 10-Dec-16 10:05:42

is there a reason why that millionaire (gina someone?) cant have a shufty down the back of her couch for some spare change?
