Woo hoooooo surferjet I have been off MN for about a week, went in earlier today, found the first Brexit Arms thread and read it, thought 'Oh dear the dedicated humourless ones are going to derail this, whether they're Brexit or Bremain',

Just to clarify for anyone who isn't up to speed, I'm one of the Lexitteers. On many many levels I'm actually conservative with a small C. And on several others I'm labour, with a small L. But on democracy I go rather angry. God knows our First Past the Post constituency system here in the UK is shit. But the EU parliament is actually worse. I decided to vote out the moment I discovered that EU MEPs can't propose legislation, the best they can do is offer an opinion on legislation proposed by the Great And The Good.
