Enough is enough

We are now in the throes of a right wing agenda willing to bring down the country for its own ideological beliefs. Bad things happen when good people do nothing. I for one will stand up so lest my children say I did nothing.

Good for you RBeer. I'm listening to N Sturgeon right now and I'm moved by her inclusivity and humanity. What a contrast! What can we do?

We could protest. But that didn't stop the invasion and subsequent murder of Iraqis. I believe we are powerless against the propaganda wars of Sky,telegraph and the daily mail. We can only stand tall and protest in out local communities. But, alas, we have no power.

Me too. I will stand up to be counted.

But stand tall and be counted. Let them know this was not in our name.

What have you had enough of? Democracy?

Im worried about this. What the Tories are doing should be illigal. I can't believe they are getting away with literal murder and people are frothing over grammar schools and other trivial stuff which is designed to keep the 'poor' folk from realising what they are doing.

No one seems to be arsed. I'm very worried for my kids futures. Sad

I think I've posted on wrong board Blush

Is this specifically about brexit or the Tories in general?

On the other hand, there is cross party opposition as we saw in the commons the other day... (hopeful)

Have you all had enough of being ignored, no matter how much you stamp your feet? Poor lambs. Brexit is happening, you need to leave the denial stage of grief and move into acceptance.

Yep looks like I posted on a brexit board. Blush

Yes, that's what has happened many times in history. 1939s Germany springs to mind.

I'm up for anything that might make a difference but does anyone have any ideas.

wendy do you actually know what democracy is? I suspect not because this is absolutely not democracy in action.

I joined the 48% on Facebook, are you all there?

Report
jaws5 · 15/10/2016 16:43

Democracy is when the people decide, innit? Even Franco held a referendum to prove what a democrat he was 😁

The poor have being promised better health care but unknownst to them they have being deceived. They don't want this. We the people can stand tall and say; This is not us.

wendy I've yet to see you make a single comment about Brexit that isn't vacuous and sarcastic.

Could you explain why you see it as such a positive?

I am not sure whether it's worth engaging with Wendy. But did your Referendum paper have a question on it saying - should we implement UKIP's Policies? Yes/No.

Still as long as you are happy with the £ crashing, and being impoverished for a generation then yes, carry on accepting it.

I'm on the 48%, but we need to do more. What exactly? Writing to a Remain MP in a Remain voting constituency didn't elicit any answers, but a page of waffle about questions I hadn't asked, and no reply to my follow up letters asking politely to have the first one answered.

peregrina writing to a leave mp in a remain constituency elicited pretty much the same Sad

I can't believe that we voted to 'take back control' because we were sick of being 'goverened by brussels' and now the biggest decision the country has ever faced is being undertaken with no due democratic process and no scrutiny. I was a remain voter, but don't see how that can sit comfortably with anybody bleating about 'democracy', remain or leave.

Standing tall isn't going to help much though rbeer Hmm

Has anyone got any actual ideas of how to be heard?
