Government responded:
The British people have voted to leave the EU and their will must be respected and delivered. We should not trigger Article 50 until we have a UK approach and objectives.
The British people have voted to leave the EU and their will must be respected and delivered. The process for leaving the EU and determining our future relationship will be a complex one, so we need to take time to think through our objectives and approach. We want to ensure the best possible outcome for Britain and the future UK-EU relationship. As part of this, the government will of course work closely with the devolved administrations to ensure we get the best deal for the UK as a whole. We should not trigger Article 50 until we have a UK approach and objectives, so Article 50 should not be invoked before the end of this year.

That's enough of a response to keep me happy.
So...the note says when Article 50 won't be delivered, but not when it will...says it can't happen until there's a plan (that works for Scotland and NI want too) and there is no plan cos they're still thinking one up, but they respect the vote.

You must have some pity for the poor Civil Servants tasked with writing these replies. 
....trying to describe the next steps when no one in the Government has a fucking clue is really sure. 
Just so long as all the Leave voters are happy, that's the main thing
As to how long negotiating the actual exit would take once "objectives and approach" are agreed, well I guess that will boil down to the highly skilled and motivated team of international trade negotiators who don't exist and probably all voted to Remain even if they did exist so will give zero fucks about enabling it
