To listen to people talk, it seems we have turned into a nation of wimpy, whinging apologists.

''I'm so embarrassed''
''I'm so ashamed''
''I'm full of despair''
''I'm so sorry''
''My life is ruined'
''Please accept my apologies''

Stop bloody whinging and saying sorry.
How do you think this tail between the legs cowed talk makes us look to the rest of the world? hmm
It's about time we all grew up, put on a united front and got on with things
Show everybody what we're really made of.

and breathe

You're right.

It was only a football match.

Can you outline this exact nature of this getting on with things? A few more specifics and less cliches would help.

Whose plan are we following? Is there a plan?

We've ended up in a situation that we can't do a fucking thing to change, right now and whhat the hell are the people who are supposed to be in charge doing? Squabbling amongst themselves, that's what.

Laquitar Tue 28-Jun-16 22:28:14

Are we not allowed to be upset and angry?

Why are you annoyed? Just accept how we feel and get on eh?

The vote was made to leave the EU. People need to stop bleating on and on and on. Its done.

Laquitar Tue 28-Jun-16 22:29:28

Lol Worra.

I hate the way we are known as whinging poms.

Why prove them right, by the constant whinging.
And no I'm not talking about the football.
But I suppose it could also apply to that.

allegretto Tue 28-Jun-16 22:30:12

You obviously have no idea if the enormity of the situation. To be honest I'm rather envious of your naivety.

BertPuttocks Tue 28-Jun-16 22:30:24

Grow a pair?

<looks down at tits>

Did that already.

<wanders off whistling>

beetroot2 Tue 28-Jun-16 22:30:53

Totally 100% agree with you.

Best they stop bleating. Pathetic.

Pinkheart5915 Tue 28-Jun-16 22:31:18

What are you taking about? You don't say what you want people to stop saying I'm so sorry, my life is ruined for

Please don't let this be about the referendum, will all these threads ever stop. These is too many and they all end in bun fights

< another one to hide Sigh>

CremeEggThief Tue 28-Jun-16 22:31:55

Who are you to tell everyone how we should feel and react?

PortiaCastis Tue 28-Jun-16 22:32:19

Some of those Icelandic footballers are very sexy

MaidOfStars Tue 28-Jun-16 22:32:33

Unite? UNITE?

I don't want to, ta very much. I've had part of my identity removed, I've had to reassure and comfort distraught colleagues, I've dried tears and cried many of my own.

So no. Not now.

PaulAnkaTheDog Tue 28-Jun-16 22:32:45

Well would you look at that! New member or name changed just for a referendum thread...

beetroot2 Tue 28-Jun-16 22:33:07

wahhh wahhh. Never seen such a pathetic load of cry babys.

PaulAnkaTheDog Tue 28-Jun-16 22:33:18

Portia yes! Yes, yes, yes!

iwantadragon Tue 28-Jun-16 22:33:21

Exactly beetroot.

Moaning about it isn't going to change things for the better.

What will do harm is if the rest of the world sees us all bickering with each other.
It may sound old fashioned, but I think a bit of British stoicism wouldn't go amiss.
We need to appear strong. The last thing we need to do is show signs of weakness.

And winging IS a negative emotion. It's weak.
