Thankfully the UK has escaped! EU announce a full on EU superstate with nations being stripped of every power, nations won't be allowed to have their own armies, the EU will control tax, criminal law, have an EU central bank etc

no surprise that the EU would want that, but I would be very surprised if they went ahead with that at this point - it would be political suicide.

smallfox1980 Mon 27-Jun-16 14:52:32

Daily Express link too.

Have you made a reference to "mums" yet BritBrit?

PattyPenguin Mon 27-Jun-16 14:54:01

The Express would appear to be panicking.

Grassgreendashhabi Mon 27-Jun-16 14:54:08

And people are wondering why so many voted out.

See I read this and have no doubts that it was the right decision

PattyPenguin Mon 27-Jun-16 14:55:15

Leave voter believes the Daily Express.

Explains everything.

Grassgreendashhabi Mon 27-Jun-16 14:57:24

Patty, can you 100% say that that could never happen???

No you can't,

BritBrit Mon 27-Jun-16 14:59:16

For all those who are saying this is the Express saying it, the plan is from the French & German foreign ministries & also has been reported in foreign media. Excerpts from the report from the EU have also been published so it is clearly coming from the EU

Thewolfsjustapuppy Mon 27-Jun-16 14:59:55

It will never happen.

There grass, I know 100% that this will never happen.

MotherOfBleach Mon 27-Jun-16 15:00:25

This rumour has been around for months,

Fact: The UK, had it stayed, could have blocked this proposal. It's not news and it will never happen.

We, as a country, have thrown ourselves into years of financial hardship and uncertainty for very little if any gain. We haven't escaped anything.

Thewolfsjustapuppy Mon 27-Jun-16 15:01:30

Ah yes forrin press also talk bollocks, well there is news hmm

Grassgreendashhabi Mon 27-Jun-16 15:01:54

Patty - Google EU Superstate.

All saying the same thing I have found a dozen other newspapers saying it. I just can't copy links from my phone.

Let's not just belittle people with your sarcasm

PattyPenguin Mon 27-Jun-16 15:01:59

Of course I can. It will never happen.

It would have to be ratified by all 28 states (soon to be 27) and that won't ever happen.

smallfox1980 Mon 27-Jun-16 15:02:44

The countries that are outraged can block it too. They have a veto.

Lets be clear if it does happen it will be with the full backing of the union.

CathemeralChild Mon 27-Jun-16 15:07:20

Juncker's wet dream.....

purits Mon 27-Jun-16 15:07:31

So why is it even being proposed if so many countries are against it? Why are they having a meeting? What a spectacular waste of time/money.

Grassgreendashhabi Mon 27-Jun-16 15:07:53

27 states that have a 35% say in what they can do.

And 5 of those states want it.

Get your head out your arses. Of course these things can happen,

CathemeralChild Mon 27-Jun-16 15:09:24

Well of course! But that's the EU for you. A spectacular waste of money.

Letmehaveausername Mon 27-Jun-16 15:13:52

It has seemed for a long time that the EU are trying to take over the world. Much the way Great Britain did when Queen Victoria was around oh so many years ago. Just the way Germany did. The difference here is that the EU isn't going to war with anyone who refuses, and that is the extremely important part.

It doesn't matter if the EU create their super state, eventually they'll get too big for their boots and crumble, just the way the British empire did, just the way Germany did, and every other country that's attempted the undertaking.

We just all have to pray that it doesn't come to war before that happens.

saffynool Mon 27-Jun-16 15:17:09

You'd be taken a lot more seriously around here if you stopped posting links from the bloody Express, OP.

The Express would fit up Juncker for the death of Lady Di if they thought they could get away with it. And actually, given the combined IQ of their readership, they probably would get away with it. They make the Mail's editorial stance look positively Pulitzer-worthy.

To paraphrase; you won, get over it.

MotherOfBleach Mon 27-Jun-16 15:17:22

Are there any credible sources that state they are actually holding a meeting to propose it?

Grassgreendashhabi Mon 27-Jun-16 15:19:31

Mother and saffy - please google EU Superstate

There ar links from telegraph
Polish news

I can't paste from this phone

smallfox1980 Mon 27-Jun-16 15:19:41

the group meets anyway, its not specifically for this purpose.

The claims seems to be on a Polish Website and one Ukrainian, no French or German.

I doubt the veracity of the Express's claims.

peggyundercrackers Mon 27-Jun-16 15:21:29

of course this will happen. I cant believe so many twats remain voters know whats going to happen in the EU and know better than the press - Maybe you should all get jobs in the press and the EU
