I know there will be difficult times ahead.

Staying there was also going to be difficult times afraid.

But I think it's the way forward ! I'm pleased change is on the cards.

Rebecca2014 Fri 24-Jun-16 09:54:10

Everything so negative, on TV and on social media. Its crazy because leave beat remain by over 1 MILLION votes yet they are acting like we stole the vote from them?

I am pleased we have left

bkgirl Fri 24-Jun-16 09:57:52

so pleased, so relieved.
Never seen so many sore losers
The working class people have spoken but the media and London based elite are aggressive and biased.

RortyCrankle Fri 24-Jun-16 10:50:24

I am so so happy. I've been up all night keeping myself amused reading the doom laden Remainers posting about the end of the world (very nearly). In the run-up, the more they called us racist, xenophobic, stupid, uneducated, the more I wanted Leave to win. It's my birthday on Sunday and this is the most fantastic gift ever. Will shortly be opening my bottle of champers to celebrate grin.

Pendu Fri 24-Jun-16 10:58:38

Ah finally a brexiter thread . I'm very happy today , feeling very positive. I was contemplating moving to Canada over the last year or so but today I feel that I might just stay here smile

People are going doolally though - my friend is messaging me "but your mums Irish" or "there goes the nhs " or even more bizarre "if your DH leaves you, you have three kids and you kissed goodbye to tax credits" hmm honestly !! All this talked soup kitchens or the uneducated voters .... I really hope it passes because it's boring.

Bookaboo Fri 24-Jun-16 11:00:18

I am pleased we have left

But you haven't left yet.
This epitomises the lack of understanding about this whole process and what the impact is.

bkgirl Fri 24-Jun-16 11:00:53

they are like wolves stalking fb just baiting and waiting to rip a brexiteer apart. It is incredible bullying behaviour.

PaintedDrivesAndPolishedGrass Fri 24-Jun-16 11:02:49

Yay < does the happy dance>

HyacinthBouquetNo1 Fri 24-Jun-16 11:03:16

Never seen so many sore losers

This, x 10

MyKingdomForBrie Fri 24-Jun-16 11:05:36

'Sore losers'?!? This wasn't a fucking game. Peoples lives will be torn apart and you're talking about it like some kind of bloody football match?!

mouldycheesefan Fri 24-Jun-16 11:06:44

Yeay, pound is at lowest level for 30 years, the amount knocked off the £ would have been enough to pay EU contributions for 30 years, 8% off the stock market (check your pension fund value), prime minister has resigned meaning shift to the right, conservative leadership battle followed by general election then labour leadership battle the Scotland referendum. Great time crack open the champagne!
The people who stand to lose the most here are the working class blue collar workers whose manufacturing jobs will be affected. 🙄
Wise up idiots.

Grassgreendashhabi Fri 24-Jun-16 11:06:52

I'm so relieved!!

RortyCrankle Fri 24-Jun-16 11:09:02

We know that Bookaboo we really aren't thick, honest.

There are hundreds of posts filled with gloom by Remainers who are calling us everything from xenophobic, racist, uneducated, thick as pigshit I noticed on one thread - the majority of us are none of those things.

Please allow us a little corner of the forum to be happy.

Happy Independence Day

FlyingGoose Fri 24-Jun-16 11:09:47

I'm happy. Getting a bit fucked off with the appalling comments from remain voters who profess to be the epitome of tolerance yet call the poor/working class who voted to leave racist, idiotic and more.

mouldycheesefan Fri 24-Jun-16 11:11:55

There is an entire thread of people whose jobs are lost because of this. What has been gained? Jackshit.

bkgirl Fri 24-Jun-16 11:14:38

No not Jackshit something remainers have difficulty comprehending.

Pendu Fri 24-Jun-16 11:15:54

Well 52 % of the country must be uneducated idiots so at least we have good company brew

It'll be shite for a while yeah but I see a great future ahead . We were running on empty for far too long . No one wants to chop their leg off, but once the gangrene sets in, you just have to do it. As if the EU is just going to stop all trade with us !! What a load of clap trap the remainers are bleeting. I remember when wheat prices reached £250 a tonne and it was largely due to traders. Same with all this financial crisis now - it's men in suits playing with their computers trying to get rich from it all which is messing up the economy. I see zero negatives leaving the EU - people seem concerned about being able to bugger off on a cheap holiday- you can still live and work in the EU, it will just be a little less easy.

mouldycheesefan Fri 24-Jun-16 14:14:15

Well we are no longer the fifth richest nation. And the amount paid by the Bank of England in bailouts is more than 30 years of eu contributions.
Even boris is saying let's not be hasty 🙄

rale124 Fri 24-Jun-16 14:19:30

''Sore losers'?!? This wasn't a fucking game. Peoples lives will be torn apart and you're talking about it like some kind of bloody football match?!'

Maybe if remain had shown a bit more compassion and empathy for the people whose communities have been devastated and the NMW workers whose wages had been suppressed we would have a bit more sympathy for the poor Islinghtons who have to put their 2nd house on hold.

fessmess Fri 24-Jun-16 14:39:26

Well Cameron's got his "broken Britain" now. In spades. I can almost hear the cracks forming and the sound of small minded NIMBYs walling their little fucking castles in.]

Selfish idiots, IMO

GhostofFrankGrimes Fri 24-Jun-16 14:43:25

Maybe if remain had shown a bit more compassion and empathy for the people whose communities have been devastated and the NMW workers whose wages had been suppressed we would have a bit more sympathy for the poor Islinghtons who have to put their 2nd house on hold.

wage stagnation and poverty are caused by globalisation and neo liberalism not the EU. If you think a Bullingdon Boy and a former metals traders are going to deliver a socialist revolution for ordinary folk you will be very disappointed. The poor will get poorer when the UK economy hits the skids.

shovetheholly Fri 24-Jun-16 14:48:08

" I was contemplating moving to Canada over the last year or so but today I feel that I might just stay here "

Admirable patriotism.

MadisonMontgomery Fri 24-Jun-16 14:55:52

I am absolutely made up. Going by fb and MN I was sadly resigned to remaining - woke up about 3am and checked my phone, and then couldn't get back to sleep I was so excited! Absolutely knackered today but it's worth it. Almost everyone I work with voted leave and the atmosphere is so lovely today.

electricflyzapper Fri 24-Jun-16 15:00:04

Peoples lives will be torn apart and you're talking about it like some kind of bloody football match?!

And how about the people's lives who have or would have or may still be because we can't get out fast enough torn apart because of the EU?

My dh is currently at a job interview, desperately trying to find employment before his company make him redundant after moving their operations to another EU country that has undercut Britain's working costs.

AlcoChocs Fri 24-Jun-16 15:12:50

Last night was a bummer when Farage said Remain were probably going to win, betting odds and the £1 were acting as though it was definite. Went to bed fed up and decided to not bother listening to results coming in.
So was was really surprised and pleased when I woke up this morning to find Leave had won.
