The death of Jo Cox is being used for political gain by both sides.

You'd need to shut down the Internet not one topic

I don't think the topic should be locked. If people are posting inappropriate things outside the talk guidelines you should report them.

I didn't mean that to sound as blunt as it did, some comments around today have been beyond the pale, and come across as very self serving. So I understand your upset, op.

I'm also unimpressed with a tendency for people trying to claim some sort of ownership of grief, over this tragedy. Let that be for her family and fiends Sad

The arguments are really awful, I agree. It is disgraceful, trying to make political capitol out of this tragic murder.

Just remember that on places like here, it says much more about the individual person than a political view.

I received an email from WEP and was Shock taken aback at them appropriating this dreadful death too.

We cannot shut down free speech Jo Cox would not have wanted that. I do agree there have been some grief attention seekers though. Personally although there was a terrible tragedy I feel grief belongs to Jo's family and friends.
All the nasty speculation must be awful for her parents and husband to hear. Only the people who saw the tragedy know the truth and all the mud slinging rhetoric won't help anybody.
Perhaps we should all wait until another official statement is made before we speculate.

My condolences to the family involved and that is all I have to say
