Some commentary

www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jun/03/eu-referendum-our-writers-on-michael-goves-tv-questioning

Considering he was in Cardiff, Port Talbot and all, this is an interesting article. The UK was the ringleader against the lifting of blocks that would allow slapping tariffs on cheap Chinese steel.

It is interesting the Conservative government aren't saying from any side of their mouths that thy are actively fighting to lessen protection on Uk steel.

Charles de Lusignan, a spokesman for Eurofer, which represents steel production in the European Union, said the organisation had argued for the lifting of the lesser duty rule, which prevents increased tariffs being placed on cheap imports to the EU from China.

Tata steel crisis: Sajid Javid tells workers there's time to reach a deal - as it happened
Business secretary tells Port Talbot steel workers that ‘we’re on your side’

' “The fact is that the UK has been blocking this. They are not the only member state, but they are certainly the ringleader in blocking the lifting of the lesser duty rule,” he told the BBC’s Today programme.'

I thought this comment on the above article was interesting

"This is what a Brexit is all about... Pompous twits who really want to do what they like unregulated... They just play all the populist rubbish and make a mockery of their supporters. It's all about saving bankers bonuses and regulation on the city. They are obviously eyeing Chinese money at the expense of the British publics industries.

It's all about the CITY and their mates. Of course the E.U and our membership is a problem for them... Just as this article points out"

Yes, it is about the EU Commission.

'It's all about the CITY and their mates. '

Then why are all their mates - Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan etc - all lined up with the Establishment servants to remain in, when the people are for leave?

We had members of the public coming up to us on Saturday in the high street quoting Gove's word 'Time to take back control'. His message has certainly sunk in.

The cross-section of people who are claiming to be Leave voters is quite amazing - al age groups and occupations and many relating a personal experience that has prompted their decision. Many also registering to vote for the first time in their lives.

We need more referenda to make people think seriously about the big issues facing us. Many people have expressed surprise that , up until now, they knew so little about the EU
