Nothing on here,or am I wrong,I'm a newbie so be patient with me.
Anyhow here goes it's the Referendum on the European Union on the 23 June this year.
I'm voting Leave.

Have to say the inners have no real tempting offers,bit like shopping really,
think I'm for leaving the shop!

In Ireland, we had a few goes at referendums until we gave the right answer . The Lisbon treaty if you'd like to look it up. So don't worry if you cock it up the first time.

I will be voting to stay. I just don't trust this government and I trust the EU more. Also I worry that Scotland will separate from the UK and we will be stuck in a tory nightmare forever because there will never be enough left leaning voters to bring labour back in without votes from Scotland. Im very worried about the human rights act being replaced by the tories as well.

I will be voting Leave for a variety of reasons.

If, as suggested by houseeveryweekend, that results in no more labour governments - that will be a huge bonus.

Yes, I agree - I don't have much confidence in the EU to sort out the problems that are looming - I think we're better off standing on our own two feet . How easy is it to get 28 nations to agree to anything !

100% leave. Even more so since I have read both sides of the arguements on here.

How anyone doesn't want to be in control of their own destiny is beyond me.

These alliances of nations rarely last the distance like Yugoslavia and the USSR for example. Most other nations are trying to get more autonomy while we are trying to give ours away.

I find it hard to fathom the logic that Brussels are more trustworthy than the Conservatives.

That's a good point about our housing, schools and health service being stretched to breaking point . I was talking to a woman from the North on Saturday and she was telling me her family had been 8 years on the housing list !! with no prospect of getting anything - we should be the ones to decide how our country is run and how we manage our resources - not a lot of faceless unelected bureaucrats from Brussells telling us how to live !

I am dithering, but having worked for an EU institution and been utterly gobsmacked at the waste, incompetence and sky-high salaries there I will orobably vote to leave.

I don't buy the argument that at least being in we have a way to influence EU policy - we are one of 28 countries with a tiny say in the face of Fraco - German politics. And the handling of the Euro and refugee crises do not inspire confidence.

That's the problem - how can any of us have confidence in a whole lot of unelected bureaucrats who've made a real mess of everything to date - dreadful unemployment figures / the tottering euro /the migrant crisis and now poor old Greece - what a disaster !

Apparently I left a message on this subject in the wrong place and boy was a jumped on. It's a while since I've been on but I used to be on very regularly and found it a much friendlier and easy going site now I feel as if I must walk on my eyelashes. It now seems like the women libers who actually harm women more than help them. Equality has always been my way and because of that I want our of Europe as I believe in democracy and there is nothing democratic about Europe.

Everybody is talking about this being a once in a lifetime vote but DC has only made a four year agreement not the 18 years he asked for but he is keeping stum about that. He has said that he is going before the end of this Parliament so he has only covered until it is somebody else's problem

The UK needs to have control over all its own laws and its own immigration.

The EU is a vehicle for transferring cash from the richest to the poorest countries - by way of massive backhanders along the way - but what actually happens is that the poorest in the rich countries become poorer, while the richest in the poor countries become richer (and their poor stay poor). It's the biggest gravy train in the history of the world. No wonder the likes of Turkey and Bosnia are clamouring to get their noses in the trough.

I'm voting to stay. There's a lot more too it that "foreigners coming to the UK and claiming benefits and housing", but I fear that that's all that a lot of the "leave" voters will see.
