month without plastic. I really think this would be IMPOSSIBLE over here. I am so fed up with all the packaging. I take my own bags everywhere but everything but everything is plastic packaged or plastic wrapped styrofoam packaged over here. Can you still get paper bags for Mushrooms over there? If yes, I'd use them for all my fruit and veg but here they don't exist tho you can get paper bags for your shopping if you ask at the til. they'd be no use for fruit etc. Even the farmer's market (which got drummed out cos local businesses objected to the increased traffic on a Sunday morning )used plastic bags here. I've been thinking hard and the only shining example of something plastic free that is plastic wrapped in the UK is magazine subscriptions by post! They just put a label on the front of the mag and send it unwrapped. That's the sum total.
