does anyone know roughly how much it costs to run a tumble drier for an hour?

We currently try not to use ours. We are lucky in that we have a very large conservatory and the washing dries very quickly over the support rails in the glass roof. But we move in a week and will probably have to use it more. DH told me it was about £4 an hour but he isnt sure why he has that figure in his head

It's about 40p/hour. We don't have one either.

They're usually c 3kw, ie 3x however much a kwh costs.

40p sounds about right.

I've had to use mine a lot with the weather we've had lately
