I have just started a similar - help me to compost - type thread on this section. Waiting for responses.

You could always get chickens or a pig and convert your waste into eggs or sausages!

I think your bin company has the right idea personally. Wish mine did that! Just think of the money you will save buying compost as well. Just invest in a couple of bins - unless you have a create householder who could knock a few up. Put them in the bottom of the garden and shove it all in. Remember to add a lot of "brown" material like cardboard, especailly if there are a lot of grass cuttings going in. If it looks slimy or is smelly you need more brown. Then sit back and wait for the compost

I have no problem with bin companies doing this providing they do offer decent kerb side recycling too.
