Plastic free skin care

Can anyone suggest any skin care brands that don't come in plastic? I need cleanser, moisturiser day and night, eye cream, eye makeup remover. Found Nivea in a tin but it's too oily for my face. Also foundation is next on my list. Thanks in advance.

It's so difficult. I use Double Wear foundation which is in a glass bottle, but it's virtually impossible to wash when empty, so not much use.

Some of the Sukin products are packaged in glass, but not all.

Hope somebody else will be more use.

our local refil store has a terrycycle point for plastic tubes. I lnow its not what you asked but worth looking at while using up products

Aldi night cream comes in a glass jar but lid still plastic.

It's bad isn't it. Surely there's a profit to be made if one of the big firms offers a plastic free range?

Yes it's not easy . Sister I use almond oil that comes in a reusable glass bottle , you can wash it properly. I use essential oils added to it. ( A couple of drops to 5ml.) The tiny essential oil bottles take a LONG time to finish . They don't take much space in recycling I suppose. I also use up the old ess oils in kitchen cleaner that I make in a reused spray bottle. They can be kept in a dark\ cool place to last longer.

I love ess. oils because they can be used for sooo many things, I use rosemary in filtered \softened water as a facial tonic and it gives my hair a nice lift in between washes so you don't have to shampoo much. Mint is just great for sniffy noses, belly ache and insomnia. I could go on!!

Coconut oil is a good night cream for me. Holland and Barrett glass jar. Also makes a good hand cream and lip balm.

I'm not good with coconut oil or coconut anything else , it brings me up in sores!

I just remembered that I sometimes use cocoa butter to make my own creams with reused plastic pots, that's really great for dry skin and you can add whatever you like to it.

I've started using more of the no packaging lush products since they opened a store near me and they seem to be working out so far (I know they're not for everyone.)

I even tried an eco friendly beauty box for a bit which was a good way to trial lots of different products each month. That might be something to look into?

I've just bought a lush cleansing bar to try. My local refill shop sells cleansing bars too.

I've realised that I can get away with using no toner, my skin feels the same.

I have started using coconut oil in my hair to smooth it down after drying it (instead of a serum).

But eye cream and moisturisers are more tricky for me to replace. I have such a tight budget when it comes to skincare.

I use rosehip oil (in a glass bottle) as eye cream -- just smear a few drops around my eyes morning and night. Rosehip seems to be in a lot of anti-wrinkle eye creams. Moisturise hands and body with coconut oil, but I find it a bit greasy for moisturising my face.

I used Holland and Barrett cbd face cream that comes in a glass jar. Is lovely and lasts ages. I use a soap bar to wash my face. Coconut oil and hot flannel and water to remove make up.

wells soap shop (little soap company?) does a jar of creams n things. also simple soaps based in norwich. I`m looking for when my olay finishes! although I really want spf.....

I heard good things about Evolve skincare. Lots of their products come in jar packaging that can be reused for other things. You could to try a cleansing balm with flannel as a multipurpose cleanser and eye make up remover. Naturisimo does small samples if you want to try it before committing to a full size product.

Some of Neals Yard’s products come in glass packaging. Great option if you can tolerate essential oils in skincare.

Aesop is expensive but has a decent refill policy and I think they have some products in glass containers.

I use moisturiser from Zoe Bee - natural, vegan, no nasties. Packaged in glass.

The Avocado & Aloe is c a great nightcream.
