What to do with surplus clothes hangers

We've got so many hangers, mostly children's from when we've ordered online or they were gifts. Any suggestions as to what to with them?

None of the charity shops want them and the recycling centre won't take them according to the council.

I'm sure I've seen one of those collection banks/bins that takes them but can't remember where.

I'm not sure, are they all plastic? That can be recycled surely and if there any larger metal ones, you can make decorations with those, they used to show how on Blue Peter every Christmas ! I They probably still do!

Sainsbury's will take back their own.
Some charity shops will use them.

I gave mine to a local dry cleaner. Not sure if they would take hangers from children’s clothes though.
