Reusable toilet roll

Has anyone tried it? I'm looking at cheekywipes.com as I'm buying cloth sanitary pads but am now looking into reusable toilet roll and looking for opinions.

Does it make the bathroom smell whilst it's in the soak? Do they hurt/cause rashes or anything (like really rough toilet paper can)? Do they clean up well or does it and up stained?

I used terrycloth nappies for both my kids but the bucket for used nappies was kept in the utility room which had a separate door so if the smell of the cleaning solution they soaked in was too strong, I would just open the door. Not sure how toilet cloths would affect the smell of the bathroom. And I used to use a small insert in the Terry cloth nappies so they didn't get covered in poop from the kids, so staining wasn't an issue. Do The toilet clothes end up stained?

I've ordered them! Will come along and review for anyone who might see this and think about trying them.

@TheInvestigator

We've had cheeky wipes for just over a year. No smells from the sealed box (I use the oils to scent the water). Mostly clean up fine (though I do use borax substitute in the prewash) and I try to hang them out on the washing line when it's sunny.

Not that we've had much in the way if upset stomachs since then, but I was revert to loo roll if we did. We do still have loo roll but I really do find that when I now use it, I don't feel anywhere near as clean as with the cheeky wipes!

I forgot I'd started this thread! Been using them for the last couple weeks since ordering and they're great. The kids have found them easy to use and the essential oils smell really nice. They've washed really well; no staining or anything and just very easy to use.
We've still got normal toilet paper in the cupboard for guests but I don't feel like I will go back to using it. Much cleaner and fresher with the cheeky wipes!

We bought reusable wipes to go with cloth nappies for our kids. Now I use the wipes for me too. It feels so much cleaner than dry loo roll and they just go in the wash with the nappies. I got fleece ones and they dry really quickly so you don't need as many.

Like a lot of things, once you get in the swing of things, it is much easier than you expect
