Refillable bottle for Packed lunches

I am struggling to reduce waste with school packed lunches. My dd has a carton or bottle of drink every day. She takes a water bottle in to school but that stays in the classroom, she can't usually go back inside to get it before she goes into the dining room

Is there such thing as a small refillable bottle, about 200ml size (so it fits inside her lunch bag) that doesn't leak? I suppose I could reuse a fruit shoot bottle but I was looking for something more long term....

Smallest I've seen are the Systema bottles 330ml. When buying a new lunch box one of the essential features has always been 'will the water bottle fit into it?'. Buy a bigger lunch bag!

Could you ask the school if it's possible to have jugs of water and cups available for the packed lunch children, they should already be providing them for school dinner children. A lot of children that I know, that take packed lunches don't need to bring a drink as water is provided.

Systema does a lunch box that has a flat 200 ml water bottle that fits into one of its sections. I think I got it in Sainsbury’s.

I re-use small plastic bottles from drinks/water. I've tried lots of bottles and very few of them are any good – they leak, crack, have a rubber seal that falls out, or they're expensive and then get lost. A bogstandard smoothie bottle or spout-top mineral water bottle tends to last longer than most "re-usable" ones. Of course they need replacing eventually, but so do the proper ones.

Thanks all, yes maybe I just need to get a bigger lunch bag! I have found a Chillys bottle that is 260ml but I doubt that would fit.

Maybe I should reuse a fruit shoot bottle, one a week is better than 5 a week I suppose.

She can help herself to water but I'm pretty sure she just wouldn't bother. She is terrible for drinking, every day her water bottle goes untouched.

Probably not helpful as I'm guessing it's too big, but I use this short wider one. The lid even doubles as a cup!

A little Sigg bottle might fit. The metal ones last forever - I use one daily that I bought nearly 20 years ago

Chilly's bottles are great though. They keep my tea hot (or my water cold depending on the season) all day

This sistema one has a neat little bottle with it which fits in one of the compartments. The only thing I'll suggest is not putting it in the dishwasher, as after about 6 weeks of dishwashers DDs one cracked.

Sistema bottles are everywhere but I don't think they last that long. I agree with previous poster that Sigg last forever but they are expensive so you would not want your child to lose it! My son in Y3 has lost about 5 bottles. The irony of them being reusable!

Yes I bet my son would do the same! My daughter is more careful though.

I think I'm going to reuse fruit shoot bottles for now, and when the time comes to replace lunch bags, I'll get one with a water bottle in a side pocket.

I use the SHO bottles in the 260ml size for their lunch boxes. They are brilliant. They're leak proof, keep drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12.

Sorry posted too soon. They are about the same size as a Fruit Shoot bottle.
