Start using Mumsnet PremiumToothpaste and Soap Flakes anybody?
(5 Posts)Hi, I am fairly new to all of this and gradually replacing household products as they are running out.
I am a bit stuck with toothpaste. I have seen a recipe for bicarb of soda but my dentist says this is a no no for tooth health.
Also looking for soap flakes. I have seen the liquid product in a plastic bottle but I was hoping to get the flakes in a cardboard box.
Thanks in advance.
Flakes are very hard to get in the U.K. now. You can grate bars though. What do you want it for?
And I've decided toothpaste is going to have to wait- it's like a medical item. Hopefully the manufacturers will start packaging it better soon. They know we want them to!
Georganics sell tooth powder and toothpaste in glass jars. The whitening charcoal one is very good. There's also Truthpaste though haven't tried it myself.
Mangle and Wringer sell Pure Laundry Powder
and The Vintage Wash House sell Pure Vegetable Soap Flakes.
Thanks,will look up those toothpastes.
Any thoughts on alternatives to the tepe interdental brushes? Evil little plastic things they are.
Georganics do a charcoal floss in refillable glass tubes. A Waterpik? I know they're made of plastic but they aren't one-use and I just occasionally sterilize the plastic ends/nozzle. Had mine years.
