Can you recycle plastic straw wrappers?

Start using Mumsnet PremiumThe sort that the straws come in for a carton of apple juice DC might have with their pack lunch. I looked at www.bristol.gov.uk/bins-recycling/green-recycling-box but I couldn't tell which category it would come in.
It's definitely not in the 'can be recycled' list there. Plastic film/cellophane isn't usually recyclable.
It's also too small to be recycled - it would just fall through the recycling plant mechanisms. Straws can't be recycled either for the same reasons, wrong sort, too small. Some local authorities do collect the cartons though.
